Arizer Makes History
Back in 2011 when we first saw the Arizer Solo, we were in love. The world has changed much since then, but back in the day the Solo was a game changer in the vaping market.
Portable vaporizers weren't as portable as they are today, and we latched onto the Solo with its sturdy exterior and great vapor quality!
Since then Canadian company Arizer has worked on the Solo, and released the Air, but the Solo 2 gives us that same feeling of excitement as the original did.
But is it worth upgrading to the newer piece? We gave both an in-depth look to find out.
High Power
One of the biggest changes from the Solo is the battery power. The original was praised for being highly efficient, with a longevity that meant you could bring it anywhere and enjoy a few sessions.
The Solo 2 can now boast 3 hours of continuous use, around 50% better than its predecessor!
They also made the design choice to move the charging port from underneath the device to the back, meaning you can now charge your piece in a standing position.
This becomes increasingly handier as you can also use the device while it charges!
The Solo 2 takes around 3 hours to charge to full capacity too, so this helps cut down on waiting time and helps you get the most out of your vaporizer!
Precision Temperatures
The main focus with the Solo 2 was to maintain all the features we loved with the original, but while bringing it into the modern era of vaporizers.
With the new digital display and precision temperature options, we were not let down in the slightest!
Only needing 28 seconds to heat fully, less than a great number of vaporizers on the market today, it can go from anywhere between 122° F – 428° F in either single degree or 10 degree increments.
You're not likely to accidentally leave your device powered on either, thanks to a brand new shut off feature that an be customized to anywhere between 5 to 15 minutes.
Simply set the device to turn off after a certain time without use and you will be saving dry herb and power without any effort!
Design and Structure
In a nod to the original Solo, the Solo 2 has kept the same high-quality standard for its mouthpiece and vapor pathway.
With medical grade components and a fully borosilicate glass path, you are guaranteed the same level of great tasting vapor as Arizer has delivered before!
They have managed to slim down the Solo 2 as well, the main criticism of the original being its size and weight. In 2011 that was ok, but in 2017 the world of vaporizers has come a long way!
This was a great design choice from the company, keeping all the aspects of the design that we loved while working to make the newer device more attractive to the modern market.
