This product is handmade by skilled craftsmen in India using traditional techniques. Fifty men are employed in a small factory. In addition to their statutory wages, they receive Provident Fund (pension), leave encashment and Employee State Insurance.
The organisation provides direct market access to the rural artisans of India who are otherwise deprived of suitable avenues to sell their goods and handicrafts at remunerative prices. There is no child labour involved used in the making of this product.
