The
second day of the cup was once again, a busy affair, with
more new judges arriving and doing the freebie run, and
yet more spectacular weed being dished out to all and sundry.
I found that most of the Americans who came to our stall,
were surprised that we were willing to ship worldwide, and
also worried about taking smoking equipment back to the
US with them. There was a general feeling of 'anti George
Bush administration' within the populous of the cannabis
cup this year. With the recent arrest of Tommy Chong still
on the minds and lips of US smokers, stories of 'Operation
Pipe Dreams' and 'Headhunter' flew all over the hall. Even
so, the industry it would appear, is still as strong as
ever in the US, with many wholesale enquiries, and tales
of growing.
The
words 'FUCK GEORGE BUSH' were heard many times over.
I agree. Let's all say it together.
Ready?
FUCK GEORGE BUSH
Feel
better? I know I do.
At 4:20pm, one of the beautiful High Times pin-up girls
was kidnapped, and held to ransom by a 6ft monkey. I fucking
kid you not.
Once
the day at the cup was over, we travelled to the Dampkring
to meet some friends. I purchased a gram of 'NYC Diesel'
from Soma Seeds. I have to say that this is the best gear
I have ever smoked in my life. The menu said that it smelt
like Grapefruit, tasted sweet, and gave an 'uplifting high'.
It smelt to me like freshly cut grass... incredibly potent...
it tasted absolutely fantastic, and gave me a high like
I've never really felt before. Keeping me up, and actually
giving me energy.
It's a good job I had it really, because from the Dampkring
we moved onto Amnesia, for a judges-only 'Vaporiser party'.
By the time we arrived, the party was coming to an end.
Most of the judges had moved on to the Melkweg, leaving
the staff of Amnesia with a shit load of Laughing Buddha,
a couple of Volcano vaporisers.... And us.
Barely two minutes passed without some friendly gentleman
offering me a Volcano bag filled with vaporised Laughing
Buddha. Fan-bloody-tastic. It actually got to the point
where it was impossible to give away bags of vapour! We
caught the last bus back to the hotel at about 1am.
