Softland |

Spuistraat 222
As
we entered the comfortable, yet high-tech, environs
of Softland, we found what seems to be a contradiction
in terms: a 21st Century Coffeeshop. Lining the left
are six net stations. Along the right are spacey, yet
comfortable, booth-type couches, chairs and low tables.
These lead to the huge, brightly lit, well-stocked bar
across the back of the shop. We're told that the new
name 'Softland' comes from the combination of selling
soft drugs and soft drinks; which Smurf, the proprietor,
has been doing for three years now. Smurf also supervises
the growing chorse for Softland and his skills are reflected
in the Cannabis Cups he has picked up, in 1999 and another
in 2000. He is one of the co-founders of the interpolm
grow shop and has been into the grow scene for 15 years
before taking the plunge and realising his own vision
of the ultimate cyber-coffeeshop with an eclectic mix
of tasty buds on offer, you'll find varieties of Bio
and Hydro weeds not only in puffable form, but also
available are some of the best milkshake flavours. You
can be the envy of all your buddies back home when you
e-mail them a web cam sho of the prettiest spliff you've
ever rolled.
