The first thing you notice about the Hill Street Blues bar is
that it is covered, wall to ceiling, in graphitti. The tables,
the mirrors, the light fittings, everything is covered and all
and saundry are welcome to leave their mark.
The long layout reveals a pool table, and comfy couch area overlooking
the canal. Downstairs, amidst UV lights sits an Air Hocky table,
and some cylindrical stools where I found a group of stoners from
the UK who were happy to pose for a quick snap of their session.
Back upstairs I met some of the firendly bar staff who were more
than happy to take orders from your table and bring your beer
to you; and of course the dealer. We bought some sticky soft 'Nepal
Polm' which I have to say, was the best gear of the trip! It's
very easy to feel relaxed in this bar, the friendly vibe kept
us there for a while, and brought us back often.
